I have a "acute case of vericocele" and recently i noticed a bulging vein above my right testicle and its very uncomfortable. is this still vericocele?

Varicocele: It is usually painless and chronic. What you have may be "acute epidymitis". Please consult your doctor for a thorough exam and discuss treatment options.

Possibly: Acute varicocele isn't something we don't necessarily see - it's a progressive condition. If it is uncomfortable, you should see your physician for a face-to-face evaluation.

Need examination: Varicocele is abnormal dilation of testicular veins. These veins normally drain blood from the testicles and send it back toward the heart. Pooling of blood in these enlarged veins causes the testicle to become hotter which affects its function. Unusual to be acute pain, would be chronic dull-ache, and would likely also be on left side as well (right alone is unusual). Need to see urologist.
