Yes/no: A tooth with root canal may feel different than your other teeth but you are not supposed to have any discomfort. You need to see a dentist and have it evaluated. Your discomfort maybe from the root canal or from the crown or from the gum area.

Root canal: Since there is no internal nerve there may be a "duller" feel to a root canaled tooth. Discomfort and pain can take time to dissipate, depending on amount of trauma. A good bite is important as well as a good restoration. If you are concerned see your dentist or better endodontist to ensure the rct was done correctly, there is no fracture and the bite is ok.
