Different opinions: Unfortunately, we can't advise you what you should do without actually examining you and seeing an x-ray of the tooth in question. Ask each dentist to go into more detail about what is the cause of discomfort, and why he\she suggest their course of action. Go with what makes more sense and whom you trust. You can always go for a third opinion from a highly recommended dentist from friends, etc.
