How does an allergy test work? is it accurate?

Allergy test: If you are going to see a board certified allergist you will probably get a skin test, which places a small amount of suspected allergens in liquid form on the skin and wait for a few minutes for a reaction. This is very accurate. Some also can order blood tests, the reliability of these varies on the lab performing the test and may not very be accurate by some.

Allergy testing.: There are four different types of allergy testing, the most accurate being the scratch testing performed by an Allergist. They put various antigens under your skin and see to what you react.
