A member asked:

How accurate is the hair test for food allergies and intolerances?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Snake oil: Even the best skin and blood tests for allergies fail to correlate 100% with a persons actual response to the agent tested. The hair test ranks among the least dependable at predicting anything. I would save my money & buy a good diary. By listing your actual responses to certain foods or other agents you are aware of you have an accurate idea of things you should avoid.
