Is a blood allergy test just as accurate as a skin allergy test?

Almost: Skin test is more sensitive though, results appear within 20-30 minutes, needs to be performed by experienced nurse/doctor, can be tailored to add specific allergens according to patient's environment/exposure, in addition to standard screening panel. Blood test , RAST, is resorted to if skin test cannot be performed for a reason or another.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
