See Orthotist: New materials that are lighter and thinner can be made to support drop foot. For example, carbon fiber braces can be thin, strong, and light. The braces can be hinged to create active spring effect when walking to help aid patients with drop foot. See foot specialist or prothetic/orthotist for help.
