A member asked:

Hoping you can tell me, is root canal typically cheaper in price than a tooth crown?

Usually: It is important that you know the fees for both the root canal and restoring the tooth with the crown. So talk to your dentist about this. The fees will depend on the difficulty of the procedure, the skill and training of your dentist.

Depends: If a tooth needs a root canal, a crown will not solve the problem. Root canals vary in price. The front teeth are cheaper than back teeth due to the number of canals. If I do a root canal on a back tooth, it must have a crown. For me it is a package deal, if they won't do the crown, i will not do the root canal. They can split without a crown.
