A member asked:

Ive had small enlarged cervical node in my neck for 3+ months. painless and firm but not rock solid, easily moves. tooth abscess and root canal 2 months ago. node slightly smaller but not resolved. hoped root canal would solve it. should i worry?

May take longer than just a few months to resolve. But can also mean that you have another upstream infection such as another infected tooth, or active gum disease. You had emergency treatment, but how long since your last dental check-up?

You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
