Baking soda is best!: Hydrogen peroxide does not hurt but, iris more commonly used for the gum area. You want to get that gentle aggressive abrasion on the teeth to whiten. Take your wet toothbrush and dip it into baking soda add a splash of toothpaste and brush 2-3 times a week for best results. Don't over treat as it can hurt your enamel.

Tooth whitening: It is important before you attempt to whiten that you have teeth and gums examined and thoroughly cleaned. If not you risk irritating existing cavities, and wasting time and money bleaching tarter (calculus). Do not attempt whitening with over the counter peroxide! it will not work. Ask a dentist after exam or go with a trusted ada recognized brand like crest white strips. Cleaning first!

It can be safe: Hydrogen peroxide rinse in a low dose can whiten but it is hard to keep in your mouth long enough without making gums sensitive, a better solution is a hydrogen peroxide gel placed in a custom carrier tray that puts the whitening where it is wanted.

No: Hydrogen peroxide can not whiten teeth alone. It can however remove certain superficial stains. It does not harm teeth and it's good for your gums.
