About

Bio

Dr. Urbankova practices philosophy of biomimetic or minimally invasive dentistry. This approach is founded on conserving your tooth structure rather than radically removing it. Minimally invasive dentistry follows a new paradigm in dentistry, as it requires minimal surgical intervention, and has long-term benefits. Rather than invasive treatments that often lead to loss of tooth structure, complications, tooth loss, and possible overall health problems, minimally invasive dentistry's goal is to preserve your teeth and leads to a prolonged life-span of the patient's natural dentition and smile. She focuses on achieving and maintaining healthy teeth and gums using laser regenerative techniques, preserving teeth from root canals and tooth loss due to complications or failure of dental treatme

Gum disease: Very likely gum disease. See your dentist to evaluate. Can be side effects of medications but more likely bleeding gums signifies presence of inflammation. Gum disease does not hurt and is usually a chronic condition, very common condition. 48% of people above the age of 30 have periodontal disease and 10% are already in advanced age. See your dentist for periodontal evaluation.

Depends: It depends. Clinical examination is usually needed to determine accurate diagnosis. However advanced lesion can be diagnosed by dental X-ray only. Diagnosis may be quite obvious.

Bondings: It really depends on extend of the bonded area. Well done bonding will last longer and typically will be more expensive. Have a consultation done with general dentist and possibly another opinion. Do your research. Treatments are irreversible.
