Dr. Colin Smith

Dr. Colin Smith graduating from the Oregon Health Sciences University’s School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon in 1991. After graduation Dr. Smith was accepted into the University of Utah where he completed a General Practice Residency.at the University of Utah There he learned advanced training in all of the dental specialties. After completing his Residency he came back to Oregon to begin his dental practice, Lake Oswego Smiles in 1992. Dr. Smith taught for 3 years at the Oregon Health Sciences University as an Associate Professor in the Prosthodontics department (Crown, Bridge, Implants and Dentures). He received the Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry for showing commitment to continued dental education and an in-depth knowledge of all dental disciplines. He has served as a board member for the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and was the chair of the Programs Committee, bringing in lecturers to speak at Dental Meetings. Dr. Smith has greatly enjoyed the opportunity to live and work in the wonderful area of Lake Oswego where he has immersed himself in the community. Dr. Smith and his wife, Camie, have 4 children who Dr. Smith has coached during youth sports and was a scout leader for his boys. Dr. Smith places continual education high on his priority list. He does this to keep current in the dental field, but also to increase his skills and ability to deliver the highest quality dentistry in the most comfortable manner. He has completed courses at the prestigious Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education. Here at Lake Oswego Smiles we work in a wonderful environment with great office and staff. This includes a beautiful office with video monitors, Nitrous and oral sedation for your comfort. We also use Digital x-rays to keep exposure to a minimum with the highest diagnostic capability. We use intraoral cameras so you can see what we see. We have diagnostic lasers to find decay as early as possible so that we can keep the fillings as small as possible. We also use a soft tissue laser to keep your gums healthy and comfortable. Dr. Smith and his staff are very concerned about your comfort and they try to stay on time to respect your time.
