See a GYN MD now: Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud's, like all iud's, prevent pregnancies by preventing implantation of a already fertilized egg into the lining of the uterus.(endometrium) two positive tests indicate that you are pregnant, but the question is where?.. The uterus or elsewhere.(tube) see a md to sort this out as tubal pregnancies are common when iud's fail.

See your OB-NOW!: Mirena (levonorgestrel) is one of the most effective forms of birth control. Unfortunately, no birth control method is 100% perfect. Mirena (levonorgestrel) is over 99% effective and works consistently to prevent pregnancy. Fewer than 8 in 1, 000 women (0.8%) become pregnant while using mirena (levonorgestrel). One risk of becoming pregnant while using Mirena (levonorgestrel) is called ectopic pregnancy, which could be life threatening get seen immediately!
