On mirena (levonorgestrel) iud for a year, very sharp pelvic pain that comes and goes. has been going on for a month. two negative pregnancy tests. what could it be?

Unsure: The Mirena (levonorgestrel) is probably not the etiology, however, pregnancy - particularly an ectopic pregnancy is possible. Other causes could include ovarian cysts, infection, endometriosis, adhesions, bowel and/or bladder problems.
