Not so fast: Sometimes kids are bright, curious, and interested in things -- a normal state rather than diagnostic of a problem. Some kids with aspergers can also show such characteristics, especially if they cannot related to others except through their own specific interests. Please don't be so quick to self-diagnose. But it there's something you're really worried about in your current life, see your doc.
