Focus on health: Bmi calculators give a rough range of whether our height/weight is a good proportion. Your heaviest weight is a bmi of 22.3 (normal), and your current weight is 18.1 (underweight). That's a big swing. At 16, your body has also not finished developing. It can be hard to avoid getting caught up in body image issues, but sometimes it helps to focus on health, not weight. Wide range of normal: For adults, we use body mass index (http://www.Nhlbi.Nih.Gov/guidelines/obesity/bmi/bmicalc.Htm) to calculate normal weight for given height, regardless of age, gender & skeletal frame etc. For children, we use bmi-tile (http://apps.Nccd.Cdc.Gov/dnpabmi/) for which 5-85% is healthy. Assuming you turned 16yo today, 111# to 162# is healthy corresponding to bmi of 16.9 to 24.8 (close to adult norms).
