Pain and fractures: Did you have any trauma that could cause a fracture?
Dr. Hashmat Rajput

Depending the part: Depends on which bone and type of fracture. Humerus and communited fracture-no. The movement of upper arm depends on shoulder& humerus muscles, nerves, tendons & ligaments. Any serious injury to these parts decreases the movement. Radius, ulna, carpals and metacarpals, you can have injury, but still would be able to move. Your orthopedist can guide you about movement. Thanks.

A 31-year-old member asked:

Is my arm still broken if in a cast?

Yes: The cast is on because the arm is broken. Once the fracture has healed, the cast is no longer needed.
