May be a hernia: You may have an umbilical hernia. You should see your physician for an evaluation. The hernia may need to be reduced if it is painful. After being reduced, the hernia is deformity is repaired.

Something/nothing?: Depends on age, symptoms, other factors. Can't tell here. That area could be related to blood vessel (aorta), duodenum, pancreas (pseudocyst), stomach, colon, gallbladder, lymph nodes, abdominal wall hernia, other. Need to get examined. See your doc.
