Seeing your dentist: Who can determine what is wrong and what needs to be done. Without actually seeing you in person, along with some x-rays we have no way of knowing what's going on and how simple or complicated it would be to resolve. Waiting is always more risky so see your dentist asap.

Adjustment?: Sounds like you have very think gum tissue and that the 'grey' color of the implant may be showing through the tissue. This in and of itself is nothing to be concerned about. However, a sore spot would most likely be due to the denture. Have your implant prosthodontist adjust the denture in this area. Until then, leave the denture out as much as possible and use salt water rinses. Keep smiling!

Sore gums at implant: You should see your dentist right away. If the gum line is discolored it could be due to inflammation resulting from something lodged beneath the gum line or an area of the denture impinging the gum line needing adjustment. If not treated soon, it could result in more severe inflammation that could result in bone loss around the implant.

Hard to tell: The first thing to do is to have it checked by your dentist. Many things could be causing it. It is hard to determine without having a look.
