Not a problem: I'm not that concerned about the bilirubin, but you're on Methotrexate and we have to watch the liver in that situation. I would ask your physician to assess what you're doing that could make the liver tests go up such as medications or alcohol.

See details: A low total bilirubin is not an issue. It generally means nothing. Rising alt and ast is likely related to methotrexate.

I am taking mtx for my sle (10mg/wk). My AST ALT numbers have been rising (outside of range) since i started. At what point is it too high?
What would cause a slightly elevated bilirubin? My level was 1.2 mg/dL today and is usually always in the .4-.6 range (last checked October 2022). AST, ALT and albumin were all normal. Alkaline Phosphatase was low?
