What can cause elevated direct bilirubin? My ALT has been around 45-50 for the last year, direct bili 0.4, and indirect bili 1.8.AST normal at 22.I possibly have celiac bc of antibodies but negative biospies.Liver ultrasounds and biospy were normal?
Unexplained elevated liver enzymes (ALT. AST, GGT) exhausted every possible cause. Doctor says I must take statin. Started one month ago. Enzymes increases slightly. ALT now at 87. Baseline was 70. Should statin be stopped ? GI says no and cardio -no?

Hi, my liver test showed alp-69, ggt-93, s-alt(gpt)-107, s-ast(got)-58. Rest all reading normal incl. Albumin-41 & bilirubin total 6. Pl. Advise. Thanx?
Bilirubin level is 20 (normal 0-20). Blood count and others all normal. GGT is 17 range of 0-37. Individual ALT and AST are normal (ALT is 13 range of 0-55 & AST is 24 range of 0-34). But ALT/AST ratio is high. Should I get further liver tests?
