The pain and swelling is in the left flank area the pain wraps around to the front. it's the swelling i find strange any idea what would cause this?

Where's swelling?: Flank pain that wraps around to front makes me think of kidney stone. Typically, this pain comes & goes as your ureter attempts to push stone down tube, which can lead to blood in urine. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated & hasten movement of stone (if that's what's causing pain). Go see your family doc for evaluation & treatment.
