What can be done if staples in saphenous vein are causing pain? am waiting to do mri next week. when i stand or twist the pain is bad.

Options.: The first step is to ensure that the pain is due to the staples which would be most unusual since using staples are standard in vein removals. Secondly, the staples may distort the MRI so check with your md first. I wonder if your pain in nerve related? A trial injection of kenalog (triamcinolone) and local anesthesia may also help. You should follow up with the surgeon who removed your saphenous vein.
