Extravasation: You've had a contrast extravasation. Usually the swelling goes down over time and it helps to ice and elevate arm. However, if a large volume of contrast leaked out, you could be at risk for compartment syndrome where the pressure in your arm increases to dangerous levels. If you have severe pain or any weakness, tingling, or numbness, go to emergency room to get this checked out.
