I had an mri w/contrast yesterday, but the tech missed my vein and released the contrast anyway, it hurt like he'll and my upper arm swelled up bad, it really hurts and is bruised. i've been applying a heating pad. will it damage any tissue?

Consult your regular physician for guidance regarding this condition. The tissue reaction to extravasation of contrast should abate in a short time, but other treatment might be required. Without assurance of intravascular portal, contrast should be held until such is demonstrated.
