A member asked:

What is the main cause for failure of saphenous ablation? i had one 7 years ago and now had second today on a branch off find my saphenous vein. what can i do to prevent this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yours is not an uncommon experience after ligation of a saphenous vein because of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Many have recurrences due to new vein growths with faulty valves or failure to get all tributaries at time of the original procedure. Your own vascular surgeon can advise you best, however
