Consider EMG/NCS: This test can help answer the question if your complaints are due to diabetic peripheral neuropathy. A neurologist or a rehab doctor can perform the test. Medications that quiet the nerves that tell your brain to feel pain can help. So can a lumbar sympathetic block that can be performed by an interventional pain management doctor.

Possible : That you have what's called a neuroma or could be from diabetic neuropathy. See podiatrist to determine which it is.

Diabetic: The DX will have to be done by someone you will see in person. Please call your podiatrist for an exam and then you will have your diagnosis, prognosis, and /or medication as well as a treatment plan.
