First i am a type 1 diabetic. i think i have 1 or 2 broken toes. it's the second and third toe after the big toe. they are swollen and bruised, but outside of that there is really no significant pain. part of my foot above the toes is swollen also.

Toes: The way to treat these two toes is to mobilize them with tape over the two toes as splinting is of no value important thing with diabetics is to make sure you do not damage the skin so wear a comfortable shoe that does not cause trauma to. The bruised area

Neuropathic fracture: Having Type 1 diabetes, trauma to two toes with swelling and bruising, and no significant pain may be of some significance. Neuropathy, secondary to the diabetes could account for this. The swelling on the foot may mean that the trauma is not limited to only the toes. The opposing metatarsal heads or shafts may also be involved. To remove all doubt, have your foot evaluated by a specialist.

You should visit dr: You may not have pain as you may have diabetic neuropathy, meaning your sensation may be dulled. It's important to confirm your problem and see the extent of it.
