Neck nodes: Palate cancers, if nodes were involved, would be most likely to involve parotid nodes, level 1 in the area just below the body of the mandible, or level 2 which reside deep and anterior to the uppermost sternocleidomastoid. However since cancers in this area are often adenoid cystic carcinoma derived from minor salivary glands they are more likely to follow nerves and metastasize distantly.
