A lump in the breast requires examination by a physician and a mammogram. Based on the mammographic findings a biopsy of the lump is often required to make a proper diagnosis. The only time biopsy may not be needed is if the lump is due to a fibroadenoma which is a benign tumor in young females. In your case we need to check you for possible breast Cancer which may have spread to the axillary node
