See a doctor: I agree with dr. Latif. If you have a benign tumor in the mouth, i would expedite its treatment. Unless there is a clear reason your doctor mentioned to wait, you may want to see if you can get it done sooner, or at least inquire about doing so. Usually, an oral surgeon can biopsy the lesion, confirm a diagnosis, and then provide options for removal if appropriate. If nervous, try a 2nd opinion?

Me too: If i read your question correctly you state "likely" ?Benign tumor. Why does your doctor say to wait and suggest a follow-up appointment so many months away? If i were in your position, i would want it out asap, biopsied and have a confirmed pathological report. I would be nervous too. Why wait? Get a 2nd opinion from the best oral surgeon in your area!

Agreed more info: Some normal findings in your mouth can b nothing to worry about, however, if it is new and just found, further eval is needed as tumors of the hard palate often have a more rapid growth rate and are important to catch early for best treatment. I'd inquire as to why no biopsy or further eval now or just find another ENT or oral surgeon to look at it more closely.

No: I always believe unless a biopsy was done, things of this nature should be taken care of asap. Even if it is benign, it will give you peace of mind. Get a second opinion from an oralsurgeon.
