Bruise??: It could be a bruise that you were not aware of the bump or it could be something more serious. I would recommend you get it check out by a doctor.

See a doctor: If you have an inherited problem with your veins, one of then could be inflamed. This is called thrombophlebitis. See a vein specialist: www.Phlebology.Org or referral from your doctor for venous ultrasound of your leg. Compression stockings, ice to area and elevate leg when sitting until you get in asap.
