Hematoma: you probably burst a varicose vein causing a lot of blood that is trying to resolve itself but it is taking a while because there was so much of it. You are on several things that should minimize risk of PE but would aggravate something like this. Put warm compresses on it, move around as much as possible but put the leg up when you are not moving around to reduce pressure on the veins. Gd luck
