No: Since it's an average of what your sugar has been for 3 mos., there is no way to change it quickly -- except to bleed extensively and have your blood volume rapidly replaced with multiple transfusions. Not a good idea.

Can't.: Any adjustments in your diabetic regimen take at least three months to be reflected in the HgbA1C. Your fingerstick readings are more rapid evidence of your degree of glycemic control.
