No: It measures the average glucose over several weeks (more than 4) by the sugar pattern on the HGB molecule. You can not shift that in short order.

No: It is a measurement of your blood sugar over 3 months. Most red cells last 3 months so no way to tell if it is lower in 1 week. Hope this helps.
