Let us try: A bunion is a deformity characterized by lateral deviation of the great toe, often erroneously described as an enlargement of bone or tissue around the joint at the head of the big toe. As the great toe turns in toward the second toe (angulation) the tissues surrounding the joint may become swollen and tender.Good luck thank you.

See foot specialist: Bunions can occur early in life and are typically hereditary. As you age bunions continue to worsen. Often they are not painful in the beginning but eventually they will cause symptoms. Tight fitting shoes can accelerate a foot structure that is already prone to developing bunions. There are no medically proven methods or splints that can reverse bunions. Surgery is the only way to correct it.
