Bunionectomy: Bunion surgery is very painful so I doubt if you would want to under go surgery for the pain involved

Don't have a bunion?: I believe you need to clarify. If you don't have a bunion (which is what you wrote), why would you want a bunionectomy? I will respectfully disagree with the answer that a bunionectomy is very painful. I regularly perform this procedure at the hospital, and in my experience performing this procedure, the patients rarely complain of pain. Only those with painful bunions should consider surgery.
