A 30-year-old female asked:
I had a salpingectomy of right tube due to an ectopic pregnancy on monday, why are all my incisions on my left side and one is next to my belly button?

Easier access: Laparoscopic surgery is performed using long narrow instruments that work through very small incisions. Working from the opposite side gives the surgeon a better view and allows him/her to reach across your belly to remove the tube. The video camera was placed through the incision in the belly button.
