I have been taking amoxicillin for 72 hours now for strep throat, but i still have swollen tonsils and white spots on my tonsils. is it normal?

Common problem: Although the majority of the germs may be dead, it will take a few more days for some of the swelling to go down.Some of the spots you see are dead tissue and debris that will rub off as your appetite picks up and you eat more.The food will scrape the tonsils clean as you swallow.
