Stuck in the past: Completely forgetting the past is unlikely, but integrating it into your life so you can life more fully in the present is possible. Many people have had traumatic experiences which may for a time dominate their lives with flashbacks, nightmares, emotional triggers, and other kinds of suffering. Work with a psychotherapist so that these issues recede in importance, and you can be in your now.
