Friends, not diet: If you're actually obese and want to lose, what actually works is to immerse yourself in a fitness lifestyle and seek out friendships with people who look and feel like you want to. Nobody complies with a weight reduction diet, mainstream or fad, for long without the support of peers and the input of a brain reprogrammed by vigorous exercise. Join a team and good luck.

Diet usually fails: Dieting usually fails long-term as pts loose initially then gain more wt when diet stops. Focus on lifestyle changes. Consider getting and activity monitor which tells you how many steps you take, distance and has app which can connect you to others and allow you to track food and calories burned. Actually seeing what you are doing and eating may help for long-term motivation.
