True: The department of health and human services recommends: *150 min/wk of moderate aerobic activity (brisk walking, swimming, etc) or 75 min/wk of vigorous aerobic activity (eg. Running) — preferably spread throughout the week. Activity sessions should be at least 10 minutes long. * strength training exercises at least twice a week. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/aerobic-exercise/an01947.

Running: Losing weight is simple math. If you burn more calories than eat, you will lose weight. The exercise that burns the most calories is running. Therefore, running is the most efficient exercise for weight loss. Generally, aerobic exercise burns the most calories. Weights build muscle. More muscle means a greater metabolic rate, which means you burn more just sitting there. They're complimentary.
