My son gets strepthroat way too often, now my doctor is going to see if he is a carrier. what does that involve?

Dr. Jay Park answered

See below: If he continues to have "strep germ" on his throat even after proper antibiotics treatment (s), he is likely a strep carrier. He should be treated with different antibiotics, e.g., clindamycin, to eradicate the remaining germs.
