Fever: Since he is aleady with fever & was exposed to his wife who has strep infection, he should see his doctor. I hope he feels better soon.

Yes, absolutely so. Given the complexity, having preexisting conditions, and likelihood of the need for specific tests (rapid strep at a minimum) he should see his doc ideally or being evaluated at a local walk in clinic.
