Well, I don't think: You are helping yourself. If you aren't taking your prescribed medications are you at least work harder than heck in talking therapy? If you are not doing either, you are doing yourself no favors. You need to decide if you actually want to get well. Many people prefer to just stay in a rut. If you do want to get well - then do everything in your power to make it happen. It is your choice.
