Which is a better anti depressant fluoxetine 20 mg or escitalopram 5 mg for depression? i also take trifluoperazine 2.5 mg.

Both effective: Both fluoxetine and escitalopram are effective antidepressants, but people vary in what works best for them. Your psychiatrist will adjust your dose in accordance with your response. If you're also on trifluoperazine, your depression is a little more complicated. I suggest avoiding alcohol completely, though, as this can interfere with your mood and sleep pattern, etc.

Both are good: Antidepressants. However 5mg of Lexapro (escitalopram) may just be a starter dose (it may not be therapeutic).
