Depression Pills: Prior to taking any kind of medication, it is important to get a good diagnostic workup. Having depression symptoms does not always mean that you are clinically depressed. Furthermore even if you meet the diagnostic criteria, medication is not always indicated. It might be a good idea to start with your primary care health provider to talk more about this or see a mental health professional for an evaluation.

Perhaps, but: I's always try to see if this is a reactive depression first. Difficulties in many lives can cause understandable depression and even if you can not fix everything at once - just feeling understood can help. Biochemical depressions are different - they can happen in otherwise fine lives. They are rarer than many seem to believe IMHO. Try some CBT/supportive therapy and see if a pill's needed. Ok?

Only if needed: Kunalg, you should not take any medicines without seeing a doctor first for all the reasons others have told you. You may indeed need them, but if it is a medical condition you may need something else more! Meanwhile, try to get a lot of exercise and sunshine and fresh air, speak with a parent or teacher or anyone else about your troubles and don't be embarrassed to get help. Good luck!
