Is it possible for an anti-depressant to actually cause depression?

Yes: One of the cautions when starting antidepressants is that it appears to increase depression. However, it is more likely that as depression is impacted by the medication the individual is more able to experience the symptoms of depression.

MEDS SIDE EFFECTS: For your depressive symptoms, 1st have a physical exam to rule out a physical problem. Please consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you with ZOOM.com sessions. Research indicates with psychotherapy you can change & find better coping mechanisms. If there is a biological reason you are depressed please see a Psychiatrist for a medication adjustment.
