Diabetes difficulty: Type 1 diabetes is a serious illness that requires constant attention. It can be challenging to manage but if your daughter takes care of herself she will have a full and complete life which is normal for her. There is no reason she can't do all the things she wants to in life. You might consider reaching out to other parents of diabetics for support.

Kids often: Do much better with their disease than parents expect, or than parents would do with the same disease. You and the diabetes care team can help teach her to lead a long and normal life by keeping glucose normal and avoiding complications.
