Type 1 IDDM/celiac: This is actually a quite common combination - the antibodies that caused her diabetes are similar to ones that develop in celiac disease, so the 2 often are found together. Unfortunately, not much helps the pain of celiac except diet alteration, and they probably don't want you doing that until the testing is done. So do comforting things like warm baths, heating pad on abdomen, can try tylenol (acetaminophen).
